Ubisoft Reveals Next-Gen RPG, Child of Light

During its Digital Days event today, Ubisoft unveiled Child of Light, a digital download RPG heading to next-gen consoles and PC.

Child of Light's standout feature is the UBIArt Framework graphics engine, which allows the developer to create the game world using original concept art. This has allowed Ubisoft's creative team to design a game that appears to be a water color painting come to life.

“Ubisoft’s strengths include its diversity and the freedom it gives its creative teams,” said Patrick Plourde, creative director, Ubisoft. “We want Child of Light to be like a playable poem, a love letter to art and video games.'
